Is it me or did it seem like every other kid had cell phones on the bus?

I just read on foxnews.com that the adult and all three teenagers were charged in this incident.
I don't understand why the bus driver didn't talk to the mom when the girl said, "Here, you can talk to my mom..." and she handed her the cell phone? I understand there are guidelines the bus driver has to follow about letting kids off the bus, but she could of explained the situation and if the girl headed off the bus, just call it in on her radio. Plus it would be on camera.
Yes, the girl was disrespectful...but you have to handle situations the right way. The bus driver is working in the school system with kids every day. If this is the first time she's ever had to deal with a disrespectful 15 year old, then let me put in a transfer to work in whatever county she's working in.

Me too. It was totally stupid of the bus driver to become confrontational with a kid. Maybe RT can fill us in on what the policy is for bus drivers in our system. Especially with kids like this who want to be this disruptive.
They were both out of line in my opinion.

Yes they were, but one is still a child, the other an adult. The adult clearly should have taken a more mature approach to the situation instead. It almost seemed to me like the driver was trying to push the girl's "buttons", so to speak. She could see that the girl was out of control. Let the girl off, keep the bus where it was parked, and wait on the authorities to get there. I am sure that bus drivers know kids that get off at the wrong bus stops all the time.
I just wonder if I heard the first part of the recording correctly. Did the bus driver tell the girl to get off the bus in the beginning?
